The 3 most popular teenage brandsIrrespective of their nationality or their cultural heritage one thing that teenagers across the globe have in common is their love affair with certain brands. According to the TRU study Brands such as Coca Cola, Nike and Adidas brands have been voted as favourites for thousands of teenagers across 15 different countries.
According to Tru’s Global Director “Teenagers from around the world not only accept global brands they actively embrace them.“ Teenagers are loyal brand advocates who support their favourite brands thus products and services that utilise branding techniques will receive greater acceptance and consumer loyalty unlike their unbranded competitors.
Although established global brands have been voted within the top 3 brands for teenagers across the world, home grown brands are competing on a local level within their own market place. In fact several home grown brands have also been voted highly by teenagers thus providing a window of opportunity for home grown brands within local markets which will enivatbly pose a threat to the market share of global brands particulalry on a local level.
